The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has opened Adams Road from Long Lake Road to Square Lake Road on the Troy/Bloomfield Twp. border after completing the resurfacing of the road.
The project began in June of 2021 and was expected to be completed by November 2021. However, the contractor did not meet the completion date, but completed the work this year.
During construction, the road was closed to southbound traffic and open to northbound traffic. The project included repaving with asphalt, new center left-turn lanes, extension of passing and right-turn lanes, installation of curbs and gutters and upgrading the pedestrian crosswalks to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
This $2.8 million project was funded with a mix of federal and local dollars. Local funding was shared by RCOC and the City of Troy.
The contractor for this project was Pro-Line Asphalt Corp. of Washington Twp.
