Adams Road, Long Lake to Square Lake Road

Project limits: Long Lake Road to Square Lake Road

Community:  Bloomfield Township and City of Troy

Funding:  The estimated $2.8 million project is fifty-seven percent funded with federal dollars through the National Highway Performance Program.  The remainder of the costs are shared by the R.C.O.C. and City of Troy.  

Project includes:

  • 1.02 miles of asphalt resurfacing
  • New center left-turn lanes added at Vineyards Drive and Westview Road
  • Passing lanes and right-turn lanes will be extended in several locations
  • Drainage improvements
  • New curbs and gutters
  • Traffic signal upgrade at Long Lake/Adams Road intersection
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant sidewalk ramp upgrades
  • New pavement markings and signage
  • Tree removal is expected to start approximately March 2 through approximately March 10  COMPLETE

Contractor: Pro-Line Asphalt 

Start date:  June 14

End date:  Late October

Road closure:  Yes.  Starting Monday, June 28, Adams Road will close to southbound traffic; however, road will be open to northbound local traffic only. 

Detour:  The detour for southbound traffic is Adams Road to Square Lake Road to Coolidge Highway to Long Lake Road, back to Adams Road. 

Access to residential and business properties will be maintained throughout the project.
