The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close sections of Davisburg Road in Springfield Township for one-day culvert replacement projects tomorrow, Saturday, Oct.23.
The work was originally planned for Oct. 16; however, Miss Digg was unavailable to mark potential utility conflicts prior to the work.
On Oct. 23, RCOC will first close Davisburg Road between Bigelow and Tindall Roads. The detour for the closure is Bigelow Road to Rattalee Lake Road to Tindall Road, back to Davisburg Road and vice versa.
The second project on Davisburg Road is located between Dixie Highway and Bridge Lake Road. The detour for this closure is Dixie Highway to Rattalee Lake Road to Bridge Lake Road, back to Davisburg Road and vice versa.
Both sections of Davisburg Road will reopen to traffic the evening of Oct. 23. During the work, access to businesses and homes will be maintained.
The work is being performed during the weekend to minimize traffic impacts. The culvert work will be done by RCOC Highway Maintenance Department crews.
Davisburg Road from Bigelow Road to Tindall Road carries approximately 5,270 vehicles daily. Davisburg Road from Dixie Highway to Bridge Lake Road carries approximately 2,400 vehicles daily.
