The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit allowing the City of Royal Oak to close the right (outside) lane of eastbound 14 Mile Road, between Rochester and Campbell roads on the Clawson/Royal Oak border, from Monday, Aug. 30 through Nov. 4, for watermain work.
One through lane of eastbound 14 Mile Road will remain open in the work zone. Motorists can expect delays.
The city expects to reopen the lane temporarily for the Labor Day holiday weekend starting Friday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 6.
Eastbound 14 Mile Road carries approximately 14,080 vehicles daily.
