The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit extension allowing Pamar Enterprises to keep Mann Road closed from Clintonville Road to Sunburst Avenue on the Independence Township/Waterford Township border until approximately July 26.
The road was supposed to reopen on July 12; however, weather-related issues have delayed paving plans. The contractor is performing sanitary sewer work on behalf of a private developer.
Access to homes and businesses within the closed section continues to be maintained during the closure. The detour for through traffic is Clintonville Road to Lake Angelus Road to Rohr Road, back to Mann Road and vice versa.
This section of Mann Road carries approximately 2,680 vehicles daily.
