The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to begin work on safety improvements to the Barron Road/Grange Hall Road intersection in Groveland Township on Monday, July 12. The work is expected to last through late August.
The intersection will remain open to traffic during the work with flaggers directing traffic.
Improvements include widening the intersection and adding center-left turn and right-turn lanes at the intersection. The work does not include the installation of a traffic signal.
The work is part of the ongoing Barron Road gravel road paving project from Grange Hall Road to Groveland Road. Barron Road remains closed to through traffic until early November for the project.
