[ARCHIVED] MAPLE RD FROM INKSTER TO FRANKLIN EXPECTED TO CLOSE MARCH 2-12 FOR CONTINUED UTILITY WORK

Traffic Alert Sign

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit to DTE Energy to close Maple Road from Franklin Road to Inkster Road in Bloomfield Township from March 2 through March 12 for continued utility-relocation work.   The start date is weather dependent and could change.

Access to homes and businesses along this section of Maple Road will be maintained during the work. The work will take place between Indianwood Trail and Apple Grove Court.

The detour for Maple Road through traffic during the closure is Franklin Road to Walnut Lake Road to Inkster Road, back to Maple Road and vice versa.

The work is being done in advance of an RCOC resurfacing project on Maple Road from Franklin Road to Inkster Road that will start in the spring. For project information, visit: http://rcocweb.org/560/Maple-Road-Inkster-to-Franklin.

This section of Maple Road carries approximately 16,890 vehicles daily.
