The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has approved a permit allowing Consumers Energy to close Mitchell Road between Fish Lake and North Holly roads in Holly Township for a pipeline replacement from Saturday, Aug. 22, through Wednesday, Aug. 26.
During the closure, traffic heading to and from homes and businesses within the closure will be allowed access. The detour for eastbound through traffic is Fish Lake Road to Belford Road to North Holly Road, back to Mitchell Road. The detour for westbound through traffic is North Holly Road to Elliot Road to Fish Lake Road, back to Mitchell Road.
The work is being done by Snelson Companies Inc. This section of Mitchell Road carries approximately 90 vehicles per day.
