The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has approved a permit allowing Consumers Energy to close Dawson Road between South Garner Road and Martindale Road in Milford Township for a pipeline replacement Aug. 3 through Aug. 6.
During the closure, traffic heading to and from homes and businesses within the closure will be allowed access. The detour for through traffic is Garner Road to General Motors Road to Martindale Road, back to Dawson Road and vice versa.
The work is being done by Snelson Companies Inc. This section of Dawson Road carries approximately 1,100 vehicles per day.
