The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Ormond Road between Davisburg and White Lake roads in Springfield Township on Wednesday and Thursday, July 15 and 16, two replace two additional culverts under the road.
The road is expected to be re-opened by end of each day. The road was closed July 7 and 8 for two culvert replacements as well.
During the closure, the detour for through traffic will be White Lake Road to Milford Road to Davisburg Road, back to Ormond Road and vice versa. Access to homes and businesses in the closed section will be maintained during the closure. The remaining culverts are located between Parker Road to just south of Scott Road.
Ormond Road from the White Lake Township/Springfield Township border to Davisburg Road will be resurfaced later this year. The date for that work will be announced soon. For more information, visit: http://rcocweb.org/418/Preservation-Overlays.
This section of Ormond Road carries approximately 6,200 vehicles daily.
