The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to again close Ormond Road between Davisburg and White Lake roads in Springfield Township tomorrow, Wednesday, July 8, for another culvert replacement. This section had been closed most of today (July 7) for a first culvert replacement.
The road is expected to be closed for the day on July 8. Additionally, two more culverts are planned to be replaced within the same section of Ormond, one approximately July 14 and the last on either July 15 or 16. The road will be closed on those days as well.
The detour for through traffic for all of the closures is White Lake Road to Milford Road to Davisburg Road, back to Ormond Road and vice versa. Access to homes and businesses in the closed section will be maintained.
Ormond Road from the White Lake Township/Springfield Township border to Davisburg Road will be resurfaced this year. The date for that work will be announced soon. For more information, visit: http://rcocweb.org/418/Preservation-Overlays.
This section of Ormond Road carries approximately 6,200 vehicles daily.
