The Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC) has approved a permit allowing Consumers Energy to close Middlebelt Road from Grand River Avenue (M-5) to Shiawassee Street in the City of Farmington Hills for gas main replacement beginning Monday, June 15.
The road closure is expected to last until approximately Aug. 28, 2020. During the closure, access to homes and business within the closure will be maintained.
The detour for through traffic is Grand River Avenue (M-5) to Orchard Lake Road to Nine Mile Road, back to Middlebelt Road and vice versa.
Middlebelt Road carries approximately 14,000 vehicles daily.
