The Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC) has approved a permit for the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office (WRC) to close Cranbrook Road between 14 Mile Road and Lincoln Drive in the City of Birmingham and Bloomfield Township beginning Friday, May 29, for underground sanitary sewer work that will last through the weekend.
During the closure, residential and business access will be maintained.
The detour for through traffic is 14 Mile Road to Lahser Road to Maple Road, back to Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
The work is being done by Lawrence M. Clarke Inc. of Belleville on behalf of the WRC. Cranbrook Road is expected to reopen during the evening Sunday, May 31.
This section of Cranbrook Road carries approximately 7,050 vehicles daily.
