The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Lahser Road, just north of Hickory Grove Road in Bloomfield Hills, on Thursday, Oct. 27, for a one-day culvert replacement project. The work is weather-dependent, and the schedule could change.
During the closure, the Hickory Grove/Lahser intersection will remain open, as will both Hickory Grove Road and Lahser Road south of Hickory Grove.
The detour route for Lahser traffic is Hickory Grove Road to Woodward Avenue (M-1) to Square Lake Road, back to Lahser Road and vice versa. Lahser Road will reopen to traffic on or before the evening of Oct. 27. This section of Lahser Road carries approximately 7,500 vehicles per day.
