The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to again close White Lake Road, north of Andersonville Road in Independence Township, for one day on Monday, Oct. 3.
During the closure, a contractor will restore the pavement over the storm sewer that was recently replaced under White Lake Road, just north of Clawson Tank Drive. The work is weather dependent, and the date could change.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained. The detour for through traffic is Andersonville Road to Dixie Highway, back to White Lake Road and vice versa.
The road is expected to reopen by the evening of Monday, Oct. 3
The work is being done by HMC of Sterling Heights. This section of White Lake Road carries approximately 19,760 vehicles per day.
