The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has opened the intersection of Green Lake Road and Pontiac Trail in West Bloomfield Township.
The intersection was closed Tuesday, June 21, for resurfacing and to extend the southbound right turn lane onto Pontiac Trail. The work was completed three weeks ahead of schedule. Pontiac Trail from Haggerty to Green Lake Road remains closed to through traffic until late July.
The $2.5 million Pontiac Trail project is 80 percent federally funded. The remaining cost is shared by RCOC, West Bloomfield Township and Oakland County general government (through the Tri-Party Program).
The contractor for this project is DiPonio Contracting of Shelby Township.
