The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), in partnership with the cities of Clawson and Troy, will resurface Maple Road between Coolidge Highway and Rochester Road starting Wednesday, June 1.
During construction, one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on Maple Road at all times. The project is expected to be completed in late July.
This approximately $1.42 million project will be paid for with a combination of RCOC dollars and funds from the cities of Clawson and Troy.
This project includes:
- Milling (grinding off) the existing road surface
- Repaving with new asphalt
- Repairing curbs and gutters
- Upgrading sidewalk ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- New pavement markings
The contractor for this project is Cadillac Asphalt of Farmington Hills.
