The Road Commission for Oakland (RCOC) expects to close South Holly Road/Fenton Road between the Genesee County line and Hickory Ridge Road in Holly and Rose townships to replace a culvert on Aug. 27. The project is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled to Aug. 28.
The detour for through traffic will be Fish Lake Road to Grange Hall Road to Leroy Street (in Livingston County) and back to South Holly Road and vice versa. Access to homes and businesses within the closure area will be maintained.
The RCOC Highway Maintenance Department will replace the culvert. The one-day project is expected to be completed on Aug. 27.
This section of South Holly Road carries approximately 4,400 vehicles daily.
