[ARCHIVED] MIDDLEBELT ROAD SOUTH OF 11 MILE IN FARMINGTON HILLS TO CLOSE ON AUG 22 FOR CULVERT REPLACEMENT

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will begin a culvert replacement project on Middlebelt Road just south of 11 Mile Road in the City of Farmington Hills on Monday, August 22.
The road will close to through traffic approximately until late-October. Business access will be maintained throughout the project.
The detour for the closure is 11 Mile Road to Inkster Road to 10 Mile Road, back to Middlebelt Road and vice versa.
The $365,000 project is funded by the RCOC.
The project includes:
• Removal and replacement of twin culverts
• Head wall and wing wall construction
• Guardrail installation
• Hot mix asphalt paving
The contractor for the project is Dan’s Excavating of Shelby Township. Middlebelt Road between 10 Mile and 11 Mile roads carries approximately 16,200 vehicles daily.
