The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will begin replacing concrete slabs on Long Lake Road from Northfield Parkway to the I-75 overpass in Troy on Monday, Aug. 9.
The work will require lane closures on Long Lake Road. At least one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic during the work which is expected to be completed approximately mid-September. Access to businesses and side streets will be maintained during the work.

Cipparrone Contracting, of Southfield, is the contractor for the work. This section of Long Lake Road carries approximately 19,000 vehicles daily.
Motorists should also be aware that if they see little activity within the construction area, it is due to the fact that the concrete must cure before it can be driven on, which can take a week or more.
