The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects paving work at the Maple Road/Cranbrook Road intersection on the Birmingham/Bloomfield Twp. border on Saturday, Aug. 7.  The work is weather-dependent, and the schedule could change.  

            The intersection will remain open to traffic during the paving work. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Drivers can expect delays and should seek an alternate route.

            The intersection paving is part of the ongoing Cranbrook Road resurfacing project from 14 Mile Road to Maple Road. The entire project is expected to be completed in late August.  

            The Maple Road/Cranbrook Road intersection carries approximately 31,000 vehicles daily.  The work is being done on the weekend to minimize traffic impacts.
