The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close the south leg of the Walton Blvd./Sashabaw Road intersection in Waterford Township for continued construction starting today, June 7, for approximately seven days.
The closure is necessary for construction work that is part of the ongoing Walton Blvd. reconstruction project from Dixie Hwy. to east of Sashabaw Road. The detour for Sashabaw traffic during the closure is Sashabaw Road to Dixie Hwy, to Walton Blvd, back to Sashabaw Road and vice versa.
Walton Blvd remains open to two-way traffic. Additionally, the north leg of Sashabaw Road at Walton Blvd. remains open to traffic during this phase of construction.
