Consumers Energy will close Greenfield Road from 13 Mile Road to 14 Mile Road on the Royal Oak/Beverly Hills border for gas main replacement work from Monday, May 10, through late July.
During the closure, northbound Greenfield Road will be open for access to homes and businesses between 13 Mile and 14 Mile roads. Southbound Greenfield Road will be closed to local traffic.
The detour for through traffic is 13 Mile Road to Southfield Road to 14 Mile Road, back to Greenfield Road and vice versa.
The work is being done under a permit issued by the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC).
This section of Greenfield Road carries approximately 17,860 vehicles per day.
