[ARCHIVED] SOUTH HILL ROAD JUST SOUTH OF GRAND RIVER AVE. IN LYON TOWNSHIP TO CLOSE JAN. 11 FOR UTILITY WORK

The Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC) has approved a permit allowing a developer to close South Hill Road just south of Grand River Avenue in Lyon Township for underground utility work beginning Monday, Jan. 11.

            The road is expected to re-open approximately Feb. 5. The detour for through traffic is Grand River Avenue to Haas Road to 12 Mile Road, back to South Hill Road and vice versa.  

            This section of South Hill Road carries approximately 360 vehicles daily.
