The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has approved a permit allowing Consumers Energy to close Elliott Road between Fish Lake and North Holly roads in Holly Township for a pipeline replacement from Thursday, Aug. 27, through Monday, Aug. 31.
During the closure, traffic heading to and from homes and businesses within the closure will be allowed access. The detour for eastbound through traffic is Fish Lake Road to Mitchell Road to North Holly Road (North Holly Road is for southbound traffic only), back to Elliott Road. The detour for westbound through traffic is North Holly Road to Quick Road to Fish Lake Road, back to Elliott Road.
The work is being done by Snelson Companies Inc. This section of Elliott Road carries approximately 290 vehicles per day.
