The Road Commission for Oakland County expects to close Cooley Lake Road from Teeple Creek Lane to Forest Edge Drive (west of the western Ford Road intersection) on the White Lake Township/Commerce Township border from Monday, Aug. 3, through late August, for a culvert replacement.
During the closure, access to homes and business along this section will be maintained, though the road will be completely closed at the culvert.
The detour for through traffic is Carey Road to Commerce Road to Duck Lake Road, back to Cooley Lake Road and vice versa.
This section of Cooley Lake Road carries approximately 3,600 vehicles per day.
