The Road Commission for Oakland County expects to close the Square Lake Road/Eastways Road intersection in Bloomfield Township from Aug. 3 Aug. 5 through early September for culvert removal and replacement.
The intersection will completely close to traffic for the work.
The Square Lake Road detour is Opdyke Road to South Blvd. to Squirrel Road, back to Square Lake Road and vice versa. The detour for Eastways Road traffic is Long Lake Road to Squirrel Road to Square Lake Road and vice versa.
The contractor for the project is DiPonio Contracting of Shelby Township. This section of Square Lake Road carries approximately 8,800 vehicles daily.
