The Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC) plans to fully close Grass Lake Road east of Ormond Road (closure is between Steeple Hill and West Meadow Drive) for continued construction beginning July 13.
The road had previously been closed to through traffic between Ormond and Steeple Hill roads as part of the ongoing gravel road paving project. Traffic accessing homes within the closure had been able to use the road. Beginning July 13, no traffic will be allowed between Steeple Hill and West Meadow Drive. Motorists going to and from homes along Grass lake will have to access from either east or west of the fully closed section.
The detour for through traffic remains Ormond Road to M-59 (Highland Road) to Ormond Road, back to Grass Lake Road and vice versa.
The full closure is expected to last until approximately August 10. The entire gravel road paving project and closure to through traffic will continue through early October.
