[ARCHIVED] CONCRETE SLAB REPLACEMENT ON JOSLYN RD, FROM PACIFIC DR TO BROWN RD IN AUBURN HILLS, BEGINS JUNE 29

Haggerty Concrete Replacement (10)

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to begin concrete slab replacement work on Joslyn Road, between Pacific Drive, just south of I-75, and Brown Road in Auburn Hills, on Monday, June 29.

The project is expected to last until approximately mid-August.

The contractor, Cipparrone Contracting of Southfield, will close the outside lanes first and replace slabs there before moving to the inside lines. Business access will be maintained throughout the project.  Motorists should expect delays during peak-traffic periods.

The work will involve removing and replacing failing concrete slabs. There will be lengthy lane closures due to necessary cure times for the new concrete. Once the new concrete meets testing standards, the closed lanes will be sealed and reopened to traffic.

The project is part of RCOC’s larger concrete-slab replacement program and is paid for by the RCOC. This section of Joslyn Road carries about 19.000 vehicles per day.
