[ARCHIVED] BRIDGE REHABILITATION ON GRAND RIVER AVENUE OVER CSX RAILROAD IN NOVI SET TO BEGIN JUNE 8

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), in partnership with the City of Novi, expects to begin rehabilitation work on the Grand River Avenue bridge over the CSX Railroad tracks in Novi, on Monday, June 8. The bridge is located between Novi and Taft roads. 

            One lane in each direction of Grand River Ave. on the bridge will remain open throughout the project. Access to businesses near the project will be maintained. Pedestrian access on the bridge will be also maintained.

            The project is expected to be completed in mid-November.

            The $2.2 million project is funded by the State of Michigan Local Bridge Program and RCOC. The contractor for the project is Davis Construction Company of Lansing and includes:

  • Remove and replace barrier walls
  • Remove and replace sidewalks
  • Replace railings along sidewalks
  • Install new guardrail
