The Village of Lake Orion will close Heights Road between M-24 (South Broadway Street/Lapeer Road) and Bellevue Avenue beginning Monday, April 20, for continued work on a watermain replacement under the
road. The work is being done under a permit issued by the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC).
During the closure, residential access will be maintained.
The detour for traffic is Pinetree Road to Clarkston Road to M-24 (Lapeer Road), back to Heights Roads and vice versa.
The project is expected to be complete on approximately June 20. The contractor for the project is Fontana Construction of Shelby Township.
Heights Road carries approximately 8,750 vehicles daily.
