The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close the Adams Road Bridge north of Hamlin Road in Rochester Hills to traffic for preventative maintenance work beginning Monday, July 11.
The detour for the closure will be Hamlin Road to Crooks Road to Avon Road back to Adams Road and vice versa.
The $339,000 project is funded by the RCOC. Work includes:
• Bridge deck rehabilitation work
• Resurfacing with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA)
• Waterproof membrane to preserve the bridge deck
• New guardrail installation
The contractor for the project is Pavex Corporation of Trenton, MI. The project is expected to conclude approximately mid-August. Adams Road carries approximately 23,370 vehicles daily.
