Beverly Hills, MI — A contractor for the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), under a permit from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), plans to again close the northbound I-75 entrance and exit ramps to and from Sashabaw Road in Independence Township, from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Nov. 19.
The ramps were also closed on Wednesday, Nov. 6, and Friday, Nov. 8, but the work was not finished. The work is weather dependent, and the closure schedule is subject to change.
The following entrance and exit ramps will be closed:
Exit 89 A, northbound I-75 exit to northbound Sashabaw Road
Exit 89 B, northbound I-75 exit to southbound Sashabaw Road
Southbound Sashabaw Road entrance ramp to northbound I-75
Additionally, at the same time, the entrance to the commuter parking on Sashabaw Road just north of I-75 will be closed for short periods but will remain accessible.
Northbound and southbound traffic on Sashabaw Road will be maintained during the work; however, motorists can expect delays.
The closures are necessary for paving operations that are part of the ongoing Sashabaw Road widening project from I-75 to Clarkston Road. The project is expected to be completed in late fall with behind the curb restoration work continuing in the spring of 2020.
