The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close Hickory Ridge Road at Clyde Road in Highland Township to through traffic beginning July 5 as part of the on-going Clyde Road paving project.
During the closure, the detour route for Hickory Ridge traffic will be Fenton Road to Milford Road to Middle Road back to Hickory Ridge Road and vice versa.
Hickory Ridge is expected to reopen at the intersection in late August.
Clyde Road from east of Hickory Ridge to Tipsico Lake Road will remain closed to through traffic for the duration of the gravel-road paving project.
The $4 million project began on April 11 and is expected completion is in the fall.
The contractor for the project is Dan’s Excavating of Shelby Township.
Hickory Ridge Road carries approximately 5,000 vehicles daily.
