The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office will close Cooley Lake Road just west of Union Lake Road (east of Glade Street) on the Commerce Township/White Lake Township border on Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. for sewer maintenance work.
Residential access will be maintained during the work.
The detour for through traffic is Union Lake Road to Hutchins Road to Round Lake Road, back to Cooley Lake Road and vice versa.
The road is expected to reopen on Saturday, Oct. 5, at approximately 8 a.m.
The work is being done on the weekend to minimize traffic impacts and under a permit issued by the Road Commission for Oakland County.
Cooley Lake Road carries approximately 6,300 vehicles daily.
