HAGERTY ROAD BETWEEN 13 MILE AND 14 MILE ROADS EXPECTED TO CLOSE

SEPT. 23 FOR SEELEY DRAIN CULVERT REPLACEMENT

Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close Haggerty Road between 13 Mile and 14 Mile roads on the Novi/Farmington Hills border beginning Monday, Sept. 23, to replace the culvert that carries the Seeley Drain under the road.

The work is expected to be completed in late October.

The culvert is located between MacKenzie Drive and Lilly Court. During the work, access to homes and businesses along the road will be maintained at all times.

The detour for through traffic is 13 Mile Road to M-5 to 14 Mile Road, back to Haggerty Road and vice versa.

The approximately $300,000 project also includes resurfacing the road over the new culvert and new guardrails and lane markings.

The contractor for the project is DiPonio Contracting of Shelby Township.

This section of Haggerty Road carries approximately 16,000 vehicles daily.
