Work Zone

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to begin simple resurfacing work on Oakwood Road from M-15 to Leece Road in the Village of Ortonville and Brandon and Groveland townships on Monday, July 15.

The project is expected to be complete in late August.

During the work, the road will remain open to traffic; however, motorists can expect delays.

            The two-mile project includes:

Milling sections of the road

Paving with asphalt

Extension of the westbound Oakwood Road right-turn lane to northbound M-15

Drainage improvements in a few areas

Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant crosswalk on North Church Street at Oakwood

New guardrail, signage and pavement markings

The contractor for the project is Ace-Saginaw Paving of Flint.
