[ARCHIVED] RCOC TO CLOSE QUARTON RD BETWEEN LAHSER AND CRANBROOK FOR WIDENING WORK MAY 28 - JUNE 3

Road Closed Ahead Sign

Beginning May 28, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close Quarton Road from Lahser Road to Cranbrook Road on the Bloomfield Township/Bloomfield Hills border to extend the westbound Quarton Road left-turn lane to southbound Lahser Road.

Quarton will be closed in both directions from just west of Merrimac Court to Lahser Road.

Access to homes on Merrimac Court will be maintained, but motorists will only be able to travel to and from the east on Quarton throughout the project.

The detour route for through traffic is Cranbrook Road to Maple Road, back to Lahser Road and vice versa. The road is expected to reopen to traffic approximately June 3.

The work is being done in advance of simple resurfacing (preservation overlay) that will take place on Quarton Road from Lahser Road to Woodward Avenue (M-1) this year.

The contractor for the project is Cadillac Asphalt of Clarkston.
