Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has extended the time frame for the John R Road closure just north of Square Lake Road in the City of Troy until late May due to weather-related issues causing delays with soil excavation.
The detour for the closure is South Blvd. to Dequindre Road to Long Lake Road, back to John R and vice versa.
Once the soil excavation is complete, northbound John R will reopen to traffic. Southbound John R from Long Lake to South Blvd will remain closed for the duration of the project. Northbound John R had originally been expected to open around May 20.
