[ARCHIVED] 10 MILE RD BETWEEN TAFT AND NOVI ROADS IN THE CITY OF NOVI TO CLOSE MAY 11 FOR CULVERT REPLACEMENT

Road Closed Ahead Sign

Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close 10 Mile Road to through traffic between Taft and Novi roads in the City of Novi on Saturday, May 11, to replace a culvert under the road.

The work is being done just east of Courtland Drive.  Residential access will be maintained.

The detour for through traffic is Taft Road to Grand River Avenue to Novi Road, back to 10 Mile Road vice versa.

The culvert replacement is expected to be completed by the end of the day on May 11. In case of inclement weather, an alternate date of May 12 has been set for the culvert replacement.

The work is being done in advance of resurfacing (preservation overlay) work on 10 Mile Road from Pontiac Trail to Meadowbrook Road that will take place this year.

10 Mile Road carries approximately 19,500 vehicles daily. The work is also being done on the weekend to minimize traffic impacts.
