RCOC TO HOST PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING DEC. 12 FOR
2019 GRASS LAKE ROAD PAVING PROJECT
Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will host a public information meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the planned 2019 paving of Grass Lake Road from Ormond Road to Steeple Hill Road in White Lake Township.
The meeting will take place at the White Lake Township Offices, 7525 Highland Road, White Lake Township. The meeting will be open-house format -- there will be no formal presentations. RCOC staff will be present to answer questions and review the project plans throughout the public meeting.
The project is expected to begin in the spring of 2019 and be completed in late fall.
During construction, the road will be closed to through traffic; however, residential traffic will be maintained.
The detour for through traffic will be Ormond Road to Highland Road to Hill Road, back to Grass Lake Road and vice versa.
The approximately $1.5 million project is funded by a state grant and White Lake Township. The project includes:
Paving 0.5 mile section of gravel road with asphalt
Improving road alignment and drainage
Some curb and gutter installation
