WESTBOUND 14 MILE ROAD BETWEEN SOUTHFIELD AND GREENFIELD ROADS WILL CLOSE OCT. 5 FOR CONCRETE REPAIRS

Beverly Hills, MI -- The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close westbound 14 Mile Road between Southfield and Greenfield roads to traffic in the communities of Birmingham and Beverly Hills for concrete removal and replacement beginning Friday, Oct. 5.

Eastbound 14 Mile Road between Southfield and Greenfield roads will remain open to traffic and residential access will also be maintained.

During the closure, westbound traffic will be detoured to Greenfield Road to 13 Mile Road to Southfield Road, back to 14 Mile Road and vice versa.

The partial closure is necessary due to limited space in the work zone areas.

14 Mile Road carries approximately 17,000 vehicles daily.

The closure is expected to last until approximately Oct. 15.
