The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit allowing Pulte Homes to close Clintonville Road from Waldon Road to Clarkston Road (just north of Oakhurst Lane) in Independence Township beginning Monday, Oct. 1.
The closure is necessary so the developer can widen the road at a new residential development The detour for through traffic is Waldon Road to Sashabaw Road to Clarkston Road, back to Clintonville Road and vice versa.
The closure will last eight days with Clintonville Road expected to open to traffic on Oct. 8.
The paving contractor for the project is Cadillac Asphalt of Clarkston.
Clintonville Road carries 6,030 vehicles per day.
