SECORD LAKE ROAD BRIDGE BETWEEN LEONARD AND MCKAIL ROADS IN ADDISON TWP. EXPECTED TO CLOSE SEPT. 5 FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close the Secord Lake Road bridge over East Creek between Leonard and McKail roads in Addison Township on Wednesday, Sept. 5, to perform preventative maintenance on the bridge.
The road is expected to reopen in late September. The detour for through traffic is Leonard Road to Hagerman Road to McKail Road, back to Secord Lake Road and vice versa.
Work includes removing the bridge’s surface, waterproofing the deck and resurfacing the bridge approaches and deck with asphalt.
This project is part of a $322,000 program funded by RCOC to perform preventative maintenance on three bridges in Oakland County. The work will extend the life of the bridges.
Z Contractors of Shelby Township will perform the work.
