The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has issued a permit allowing Heritage Construction L.L.C., on behalf of the Waterford School District, to close Walton Blvd. from Dill Drive to Frankman Avenue in Waterford Township on Tuesday, Aug. 28, to replace a pedestrian bridge.
The work is expected to begin at approximately 9 a.m. and conclude late in the evening of Aug. 28.
The detour for through traffic on Walton Blvd. is Sashabaw Road to Maybee Road to Clintonville Road to Lake Angelus Road, back to Walton Blvd. and vice versa.
This section of Walton Blvd carries approximately 18,000 vehicles per day.
