RESURFACING OF LIVERNOIS RD. BETWEEN MAPLE AND BIG BEAVER ROADS IN TROY TO BEGIN AUG. 7, TWO-WAY TRAFFIC TO BE MAINTAINED
Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will begin resurfacing and concrete repair work on Livernois Road between Maple Road and Big Beaver Road in Troy beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Livernois Road will remain open to traffic; however, the road will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a center left-turn lane remaining open during construction. Access to properties located along Livernois will be maintained at all times.
The project is expected to be finished by mid-September.
The project cost of $580,000 will be split evenly between RCOC, Troy and Oakland County general government (through the Tri-Party Program). The project will include milling and resurfacing work from Maple Road to the I-75 overpass and concrete repairs from the I-75 overpass to Big Beaver Road.
Cadillac Asphalt, of Canton Twp., will be the contractor for this project. This section of Livernois Road carries approximately 20,000 vehicles per day. For more information on the project, visit: http://www.rcocweb.org/463/Livernois-Road
