SOUTHBOUND LANE OF ADAMS ROAD BETWEEN SOUTH BLVD. AND SQUARE LAKE RD. 

ON TROY/BLOOMFIELD TWP. BORDER TO CLOSE STARTING AUG. 8 FOR RESURFACING

 

Beverly Hills, MI – The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close Adams Road to southbound traffic between South Boulevard and Square Lake Road on the Troy/Bloomfield Township border beginning Aug. 8 for road resurfacing.

The road will remain closed to southbound traffic throughout the project. Northbound Adams Road will remain open to traffic throughout the project. The project is expected to be completed in late October.

The detour route for southbound traffic will be South Boulevard to Squirrel Road to Square Lake Road and back to Adams Road.

The $2.1 million project is funded mostly with federal dollars along with $418,000 from RCOC. It will include:

Milling and resurfacing

Shoulder widening

Drainage improvements

Construction of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant sidewalks with pedestrian signals


Ajax Paving, of Troy, is the contractor for the project.
