Orion Township plans to close Conklin Road between Indian Lake and Miller roads to through traffic beginning approximately Wednesday, May 11, for water main installation work.
The road is expected to remain closed to through traffic until approximately mid-June; however, residential access will be maintained throughout the project.
The detour route for Conklin Road through traffic will be Indian Lake Road to Lake George Road to Stoney Creek Road to Orion Road to East Flint Street to Conklin Road and vice versa.
The water main work is being done on behalf of Orion Township by FDM Contracting out of Shelby Township.
