The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close South Blvd. between Squirrel and Opdyke roads (just west of I-75) to traffic on the Bloomfield Township/Auburn Hills border for concrete removal and replacement beginning Monday, June 4.

The detour for traffic is South Blvd. to Opdyke Road to Square Lake Road to Squirrel Road, back to South Blvd. and vice versa.

During the closure, Georgetown Drive and Sheffield Road will be closed at South Blvd. Georgetown Drive residents will need to use Belton Road to Hunters Ridge Drive to access South Blvd. Additionally, Sheffield Road residents can access South Blvd. by using Provincetown Road to Southampton Street.

The closure is expected to last 10 days. South Blvd. carries 13,000 vehicles daily.
