The Oakland County Federal Aid Committee (FAC), which selects projects to receive federal road funding in the county, will conduct a Funding Committee meeting on May 15 at 9 a.m. at the Wixom Community Center, 49015 Pontiac Trail, Wixom.
The Funding Committee has selected road-improvement projects through 2021 that will receive federal funds anticipated to come to Oakland County. It is made up of representatives of the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), SMART (the suburban bus system) and all communities in the county.
During the annual May meeting, the Funding Committee will discuss the status of current and future federal-aid-funded projects throughout Oakland County. These projects will take place on roads that are eligible for federal road funds and under Road Commission or city/village jurisdiction in Oakland County.
The committee will also review proposed updates to its by-laws and procedural rules.
